I think a lot of anime fans - at least a few that I know - would agree with you on this one. Myself included. I certainly don't mind fan-service but Hanasaku Iroha can do it well even without fan-service. That's my opinion. It's a show with plenty of potential. There's no need to go down that road. But then again, with an erotic novelist as part of the inn's staff. We'll never know what's to happen in future episodes.
@Yamaguchihoshiko: I couldn't agree more. Although, I guess for the story being what it was this time around, this once once wouldn't hurt, lol.
