With the nuclear crisis still unfolding in Japan, we have been informed that animator Hiroshi Kakoi has passed away during the March 11 earthquake and tsunami. Kakoi-san has worked on several series including the 1st Macross, 1980 Astro Boy, Moldiver at Artland, AIC.
